How does the scheme work?
All you need to do is visit a participating community pharmacy.
What information will I be asked for in the pharmacy?
You will be asked about your symptoms and about any other medication you might be taking, in order to give you the correct advice.
You will be advised as to the best way to manage your ailments.
The minor ailments scheme covers a range of short term treatments. You may need to be sent back to your GP if more treatment is necessary or if the condition is not covered by the scheme.
If appropriate, you will be supplied with medicine to treat your symptoms.
