Patient update 19.03.20
Self isolation: Please note that we currently have 6 staff who are in self-isolation.
Our teams are working extremely hard in these difficult times, working up to 15 hours per day to maintain the service we provide to our patients. Our aim remains to provide the best quality of care that we possibly can. Our COVID-19 contingency plan is securely in place, and it is likely at some point that we may be offering and receiving support from other practices.
We thank all our patients for their understanding at this time.
Appointments: As per NHS Guidelines and for your safety we MUST screen and risk assess all patients by telephone triage BEFORE we can offer you an appointment.
Therefore please DO NOT come to surgery without prior arrangement. We are still having patients walking in and demanding a face to face consultation and this is not safe, you may be infected and will be putting others including our staff at risk. Our staff are working under unprecedented pressure and we are trying our hardest to facilitate safe care. Please follow our guidelines they are in place to protect you and others. Thank you
Telephone lines: Please note that we are only provided a certain number of phone lines to our surgery. Because our clinical team are telephone triaging first, inevitably there may be times that our lines are very busy which is something that is out of our control, this applies to all Primary care in Cumbria. We thank you in advance for your patience and assure you we are doing our very best under extenuating circumstances.
