Patient update 22.04.20
Stay at home- We hope all our patients are continuing to stay home to help save lives and to protect our NHS.
Visitors to the building- We would like to thank all of our patients who are continuing to follow the systems we have put in place help protect our clinicians, staff and fellow patients. We would like to remind patients please DO NOT visit the surgery unless invited to do so by one of our clinicians or Pharmacy. Our doors remain closed and are managed by our staff who will screen and if required take your temperature before entering the building. You must stay 2m from staff and other patients at all times.
Please telephone our Reception on 01900 705750 or Castlegate Pharmacy on 01900 826018 with any enquiries DO NOT visit in person. We will aim to deal with your enquiry over the telephone.
Appointments- For your protection the practice has moved to a telephone triage system. Please contact us as normal for an appointment by telephoning our Reception. An appropriate clinician will then call you back. Our GPs and nurses are increasing the use of video consultations with patients and may ask patients to send in digital photographs if appropriate that will help us to assess the patient. These systems are all confidential and secure but help greatly in the consultation process. If deemed safe and necessary you may be invited in for a face to face consultation. Our staff will guide you through this process.
Our GP’s and nurses are here for you- We continue to ensure that people who need care or medical assistance receive it. Do not ignore other health issues or ongoing medical conditions. We are still available for any required blood tests, smears(if you have received a letter that this is due) or GP/ Nurse appointment. We currently have postponed all minor operations at this time. If you require an appointment we ask you telephone as normal and you will be telephone triaged through our appointment system.
Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)- We greatly appreciate all donations of PPE equipment that we have received at the surgery but we do still require any additional PPE we can obtain.
If you have any PPE to donate please contact our Reception team. As the current situation continues our PPE stocks diminish and our utmost importance is the safety of our clinicians, staff and patients.
