On the 1st December the partners of the two surgeries came together to create a new partnership with the aim of establishing a sustainable local primary healthcare service for Cockermouth and our surrounding villages. Our teams have come together and are working hard behind the scenes looking at processes to make them lean and standardised.
Patients are able to see nurses and healthcare assistants from either surgery and we are growing our nursing team to create more appointment capacity - more information on this will follow.
We do ask patients to continue to book with doctors from their previous surgery, our practice lists remain separate so we need to ensure safety and continuity of care.
We expect 2016 to be an exciting and challenging year for the surgery and we hope that patients will bear with us whilst we move forward. We are experiencing increasing demand for appointments and we appreciate accessibility can be frustrating but please remember our staff are here to help.
Our reception team will ask questions regarding your request for an appointment and this is to ensure you are booked with the most appropriate health professional.
