Pharmacy and Self Care

Many conditions can be treated without the need to see your GP.

Local Pharmacies can help give you advice and treatment for a range of minor illnesses. If you’ve earache, a poorly tummy, itchy eyes or skin, a cold or sore throat or aches and pains – pop along to your local pharmacy first. You don’t need to make an appointment and you can talk in confidence about your health and wellbeing problems. They can also advise you on what to stock in your medicine cabinet.

Help and support may also be available from many National and Local Organisations, some will also allow you to refer directly.

Book an appointment

We operate a Total Triage process for patients to request their next appointment.

You will receive a telephone call first from our clinicians and then if required you will be asked to attend surgery for a face to face appointment. Our aim is to enhance your experience and ensure you receive the right care, at the right time, with the right clinician.

We would like to assure patients you will still receive the same care from the same surgery team the only difference is how you request the appointment.

How do I book an appointment with Total Triage?

No matter how you ask for an appointment, you will be asked the same questions. This helps the doctors understand what you need and makes sure everyone is treated the equally.

Total triage forms are completed using any of the three methods below:

Online (Preferred method)

Complete a Triage form

Or from NHS app via the services tab

In person

Patients can be assisted by one of our team who will complete on your behalf or demonstrate using our Ipad at the Reception desk.

Telephone

Call us on 01900 705750. Patients will be assisted by one of our team who will complete on your behalf

Once the form is submitted a clinician will review the information and offer the appropriate appointment. We aim to reply within 48 working hours.
