NHS healthcare staff caring for you, away from your GP practice may not be aware of your current medications, allergies you suffer from and any bad reactions to medicines you have had, in order to treat you safely in an emergency this is the basic National Shared Electronic Record/ SCR.

Some patients can also provide additional information, that can include details about significant medical history(past & present), reasons for medications, care plan information and immunisations.
You have the choice to opt out of either of these options:

  • You can opt out if you do not want a Summary Care Record - Basic
