Scarlet Fever
We have seen an increase in the number of calls we are receiving about suspected Scarlet Fever. Some of the common symptoms include:
- Fever over 38.3C or higher.
- White coating on the tongue which may peel a few days later, leaving the tongue looking red and swollen.
- Swollen glands in the neck.
- Feeling tired and unwell.
- Flushed red face, but pale around the mouth.
- Peeling skin on the fingertips, toe and groin area, as rash fades.
