Surgery Update

BACK TO MAIN INDEX

Where did 2023 go? This year has certainly been a busy one here at the surgery with various changes to our structure, management, ways of working, new faces and challenges but throughout it all we are here working hard to provide our patients with the very best care we can.

We must thank all of our staff for continuing to work through at times very demanding days that can be so varied, there is never a dull moment in the surgery! From our reception team tackling the patient call queues, our GPA’s taking a patient’s blood, our prescribing team helping with a medication query, our acute team caring for a patient in an emergency situation, our GP’s referring a patient hospital consultant or our nurses providing wound care, the list goes on and on, but each member of the team holds a very important role to come together and provide many routes to care for our patients. We are very lucky to have a workforce who cover so many specialist areas, the message that we will be promoting in the New Year is meet our whole team and that you do not always need to see a doctor we have a whole host of highly trained nurses, physiotherapist, care coordinators, social prescribers, chronic disease nurses and paramedic who are the experts in their area and are here to help you.

We want patients to get to know our team, recognise their faces and understand the work that they do. They may be the correct clinician to help you.
