Locum General Practitioner (GP)
A Locum GP is a fully qualified doctor who provides temporary medical cover within our practice. They perform the same duties as our permanent GPs; offering consultations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, prescribing medications, and referring patients for specialist care when needed.
Locum GPs play a vital role in ensuring that patient care continues smoothly during periods of staff leave, training, or increased demand. They bring a wealth of experience from working across different practices and communities, often offering fresh perspectives and diverse clinical expertise.
At our practice, Locum GPs are fully integrated into the clinical team and committed to maintaining the same high standard of care, confidentiality, and compassion that our patients expect. Whether you’re visiting for a routine appointment or an urgent concern, you can be confident that a Locum GP will provide professional, attentive, and patient-focused care.
Our regular locum GPs are:
- Dr Bright Akwiwu-Uzoma
